PARTNER WITH US
We are looking for partners to help us develop a suite of low-cost training tools which will allow the average child welfare worker or social work student to reliably achieve expert-level performance.
Towards this goal, VSWT is developing a cooperative of universities and agencies that are striving to take Child Welfare training to the next level.
We see four requirements to reach this goal.
- Many partners and a massive amount of content
- Innovative technologies that allow for extensive skills practice including virtual reality and mobile apps
- Incorporation of effective learning theories such as Deliberate Practice Theory and Cognitive Load
- Research demonstrating efficacy, effectiveness, and implementation strategies to set the groundwork for outcome studies.
OUR CURRENT NEEDS
- Content and practice experts to help shape new modules and provide feedback on current modules
- Funding partners to develop additional skill modules
- Researchers and partners to test usability, efficacy/effectiveness, and implementation strategies
WHAT YOU GET
- VSWT training modules for low or no cost to use in your jurisdiction or university.
- A chance to play a vital role in elevating child welfare workforce competency both locally and nationally
- Help create an evidence-informed way of training workers to better serve families receiving Child Welfare services.
- Increased ability to track and support skill acquisition both qualitatively and quantitatively.
